New Year New Me…Wedding in the Near Future?

As with every New Year I always make a resolution to do some work on me. And this year is no different…LOL. It gets kind of boring making the same resolution/goal every year (lose weight, get healthy, blah blah blah) but I’m bound and determined that ONE of these years I’ll stick to the goal!

I’m hoping this is the year I decide to make myself committed to getting healthy & losing weight seems how 2008 is the year I’m getting married Yup that’s right! Of course I don’t know who the lucky fella is (and I’m sure he doesn’t know I’m the one he’s marrying either) but the joke is (it’s an inside joke with the family & a group of my friends & it would take a long time to explain it so you’ll just be left wondering) that now that I’ll be 33 this year it’s my year to marry. So get ready to party because sometime this year I’ll be marrying & having an awesome ceremony

Now wouldn’t that just be totally CRAZY if this really truly did end up being the year? Obviously I know it’s not possible that I could marry in 2008 considering it’s already January but I’m just saying hypothetically – wouldn’t that just be a hoot if for some odd reason it really happened?

Hey I’m allowed to dream right? LOL!

The Week from Heck!

I used to work at a local ski resort, when I was younger, as a housekeeper and the week of Christmas – New Year’s was called he** week because it was absolutely NUTSO around there…especially having to clean rooms on New Year’s Day after people had been drinking and partying all night (not a pretty picture!!!)

Anyways this was my HE** week!

I started the week off (Monday) with a funeral (my Uncle) and had to take the whole day off of work which wasn’t good considering how busy my schedule was for this week but obviously the funeral was way more important.

So Monday started off manic and it just carried over into the whole week! I was SO SO BUSY that every single night I was up until 3 or 4am then right back up at 6-6:30am. I had a great feeling of accomplishment Friday night when I shut the computer off for the night and had finished everything I needed to. But let’s just say it’s a week that I don’t intend on repeating anytime soon

So that’s my reason for not blogging last over the past week – I honestly did not have any time (just a reminder that I need to set up some posts ahead of time…but half the time I don’t know what I’m going to talk about so I can’t really post anything ahead of time).

I’m feeling pretty brilliant right at the moment I know it’s not exactly the most brilliant thing in the world but it’s a HUGE accomplishment for me and I’m so proud of myself!!!!

I know the basic ‘just get by’ Word Press stuff like add a category, write a post, etc. But I made it a goal that for 2008 I wanted to move my business site Tishia Saves Time from FrontPage over to Word Press so I could start blogging, etc.

Well it may have taken me a gazillion and one hours…literally! I started at 9pm and didn’t stop until 4:45am but here is what I have done so far. It is STILL under construction and nowhere near being finished but I’m one proud gal right now

Wordless Wednesday: Bad Hair Day & New Kids on the Block

Alright so I know WW is supposed to be wordless but I have to give a little background info as to why these are ‘old school’ pics. Last week on Mom’s Morning Show Kelly and I were talking about yesteryear and sharing about big hair and teased bangs. So we presented our listeners with a WW Special Challenge – post your bad hair pics and we would pick some winners from the entries.

So that is where my pics come in. And besides after last week’s busting a move pictures I figured it couldn’t get much worse than that but much to my amazement they did…they got way worse! What was I thinking? And as if bad hair wasn’t bad enough – New Kids on the Block? Oh man!

*I have to tell you that the picture of me in a black shirt that looks like I have dandruff flakes all over is not dandruff…there was something on the picture when I scanned it! Seriously!
