I was talking to Kelly yesterday and she mentioned that I need to get more sleep. She asked if I was sick again (kind of hard to hide it when I’m coughing and have a stuffy nose…lol) and I said it’s been an on and off thing for the past several weeks now. In fact I’m pretty positive this is going on week #3 now! My mom suffers from allergies really bad so I’m thinking I could possibly have allergies but I’m not 100% certain. I was running a slight fever Saturday night/early Sunday morning and I don’t think fevers come with allergies. Today after my walk I noticed I was really stuffed up and my eyes were itchy and watery so that makes me think of allergies. Maybe one of these days I should talk to my doctor about it. Yeah probably a good idea.

Oh back to the point of this post….Kelly mentioned that my immune system was compromised due to lack of sleep. Yeah I tend to agree with that but my body is used to lack of sleep, it’s been running on lack of sleep for years and I mean years! But then I did go through a little phase where I was sleeping really good but that didn’t last real long and during that phase I was super exhausted. It was like my body didn’t know what to do with all the sleep I was getting so it was making me even more tired.

Then I was talking to my friend Tammy & she mentioned something about sleep too and going to bed earlier. So it got me to thinking…..I really do need to get my body on some sort of ’schedule’. I need to try going to bed by like Midnight every night and getting up at 6. I already get up at 6 (well ok the alarm goes off at 6 but by the time I hit snooze and actually drag my butt out of bed it’s usually closer to 6:30am) but I get clothes for Caleb, get him breakfast & then plop my buns on the couch. Which means I fall back asleep, usually, and will sleep until anywhere from 9-10. So my day feels unproductive because if I don’t start work until 10am I only get 30 minutes in before The Mom’s Morning Show that I do every day with Kelly. The show runs for a full hour so by the time I’m done with that I’m ready for a quick break so I can stretch my legs.

Usually I don’t sleep until 10am because my friend Angel and I started our exercise routine again so we are usually walking at 9:30am but you get what I’m saying about starting my day later.

So I have a goal for this week!

In bed by Midnight and up at 6! YIKES that’s a scary thought…LOL. So if you see me online after midnight give me a gentle reminder about the goal I set and I should be on my way to bed

I was a bit disappointed with last week’s weigh in (it was only 1 pound that I lost) but this week’s weigh in totally made up for it! I lost 6 pounds! Boom Chicka Boom So the grand total of weight lost is now up to 24 pounds!!!!! Plus the 8.75 inches I’ve lost too. Yeah! I’m so geeked.

Yesterday I went to a local clothing store and spent my gift card that I got from my brother and sister-in-law for Christmas. I was waiting until I had lost some weight to use it. And I was totally excited to fit into jeans that are 2 sizes smaller than where I started when I started eating healthy & exercising 6 weeks ago. And the couple shirts I got are a couple sizes smaller than where I originally started too.

I’m doing crunches like crazy but my stomach seems to be my biggest problem area! Well my chest is a problem area too…I want them to shrink way quicker than they are. LOL So even though I’ve made huge leaps and bounds, I’m getting a bit discouraged with my ‘problem’ areas!

Any suggestions on how to target my problem areas (stomach, thighs & chest)?
