Anyways onto my reason for this post…

We headed out the movies tonight to see I am Legend with Will Smith.  I was totally shocked at how nice (and BIG!!!) the movie theater is.  I just have to say that Northern Michigan (at least where I live) is so behind the times in more ways than one and movie theaters is one of them.

Oh yes back to Will Smith’s I am Legend.  I can’t believe it was rated PG-13 and not R.  It is very graphic (not sexual graphic but bloody gory graphic).  My best friend & her husband liked it but I on the other hand did not care for it.  Had I known it was that kind of movie (creepy, gory, bloody – world destroying, etc) I would NOT of stepped foot into it.  For some reason I just can’t handle the blood, gore, creepy, futuristic type things anymore.

I used to be a the bloodier the better, the scarier the better type of girl but after becoming a Christian and so many things in my life changing movies started affecting me in different ways than they used to.  And I just can’t handle scary movies anymore.  And I am Legend isn’t necessarily scary (although I do have to say I spent 90% of the time jumping in my seat & covering my eyes because of the suspenseful shocking parts) but it just made me really anxious, nervous and weird feeling.

So my movie watching days are pretty boring and tame now-a-days.  I’m all about comedy and romance and kids and that’s it.

So I can’t say whether it’s a thumbs up or thumbs down because I don’t have an objective opinion about it.
