breathe in breathe out…ok I think I feel better now. Oh wait one more thing….dear Lord please no broken bones! Ok now I think I do feel a little better. lol

His school offers a winter recreation program that goes for several weeks every Thursday. They start at noon and go until it’s time for them to come back and get on the buses to go home (so a couple hours). Anyways…he’s been wanting to learn how to ski for about two years now, maybe three so this is perfect for him.

Call me paranoid but I’m really nervous about him going out on that ski slope today! We’ve made it 11 years with no stitches, broken bones, etc. Honestly I’m not sure how we’ve made it this long with no broken bones because my kiddo is a dare devil! He’s not afraid of much and will try just about anything. The time that we do end up with a broken bone or something is going to be now when this is ‘mild’ compared to the dirt bike jumping, skateboarding jumping, boyish activities he’s done in the past!

I was impressed with him about the fact that they do not require the kids to wear a helmet (unless they are snowboarding – he isn’t old enough (have to be in 6th grade) to do that yet which is what he really wanted to do) but they do recommend it. Caleb came home and asked if his dad and I could get him a helmet. For a kid to think safety that’s pretty impressive…especially my kid! lol

So I’m going to be a nervous wreck all day today until he gets home!

He literally camped out in the bathroom for a good portion of the day! I couldn’t get him to come out. He just wanted to lay on the floor by the toilet. A couple different times he was up on his hands & knees, head down on the floor rocking back & forth crying “help me mom.” It was the saddest thing ever and I felt so bad for him. It really stinks when your kid is sick and there’s nothing you can do for them.

Once I finally got him out of the bathroom he took up camp on the couch and pretty much hasn’t moved from that spot. He did fall asleep finally around 4pm and slept for about an hour. I was hoping he’d get more sleep than that.

He’s worried that he won’t be able to go to school tomorrow because he has a basketball game tomorrow night. I told him he can’t help it if he’s sick and there’s always the next basketball game next week that he can play in. He didn’t like that answer lol.

Here’s just another example of that. He was bored tonight and decided to do a Steve Urkel impression. Except it turned into Steve Urkel, a ballerina, a wrestler and a little bit of everything all rolled into one. I think it’s just a part of his ‘redneck’ personality coming out

I laughed so hard I thought I was going to pee my pants! I don’t know what was funnier -- my kid being the goofball he is or my mom that kept saying nuts.

After making cookies we watched the all time best ever Holiday movie ever made -- National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Ok let me rephrase that…I tried to stay awake to watch it. For those of you that know me in the offline world you know how well I stay awake during movies
