I haven’t been on a chair lift since 1993 -- my senior year in high school! I used to be an avid skiier but took a pretty nasty fall that year that messed up my right knee pretty bad and left a nasty taste in my mouth when it came to skiing. It was pretty sad to give something up that had been such a huge part of my life since I was like in 1st or 2nd grade! But I was petrified of skiis and vowed I’d never step foot on another ski hill especially on skiis! And I never ever did until back in Oct/Nov when we did this fall color tour thing.

I was really nervous about the chair lift ride and on the way up I couldn’t even let my grip on the safety bar (man how chair lifts have come along way since I skiied -- there never used to be safety bars on them!) go. By the time we reached the top of the hill my knuckles were white from the death grip I had on that bar! But by the time we hopped back on to head downhill I was able to move around (well as much as you can move around on those things, they aren’t that big to really move around on lol) and snap pictures and even take a quick little video (below if you’d like to watch it).

So back to the picture. This was taken at the top of the ski hill looking down on Boyne Mountain. The picture really doesn’t do justice for what it was like being up there in person. It was so cool! Caleb was so not thrilled with all the pictures I kept taking that day (as if you can’t tell by that look on his face! lol) but I can’t help it I love pics and some day when he’s older I want memories of the things we used to -- no matter how lame they were. lol

The funny thing to yesterday’s WW post – He’s a Hottie is the fact that the picture I posted had nothing to do with NAMS but yet it had everything to do with NAMS.

This is “T”. He’s an Army man (awwwwh Army men! I just dig them! Not only because they are such hotties but because they serve our country in a way that takes a very special individual!). Let me just say that I was literally in 7th heaven seeing all the Army men around the hotel (is it bad that I’m already wondering if there will be a bunch of them there in August when I go back for NAMS 4???)!

Anyways – I kind of had my eye on “T” from the first night at the hotel when I spotted him. There were a couple of times we smiled and said hi but nothing to brag about. Finally the last night we were there and I was up at the bar getting a drink (sitting and chatting to some other dude – yes I was a total flirt that night! But hey I was having fun!) “T” finally started talking to me.

At first I didn’t really talk back – I was a little tongue tied. But thanks to the help of some peeps – Angie Newton and Tammy Munson – the conversation started flowing. He was intriguing, fascinating, HOT, nice, HOT, a gentleman and super sweet. A man that kisses on the cheek? Impressive!

I’m hoping to stay in contact (I actually emailed him on my own without the help of the above ladies (LOL) so now I’m just waiting to hear back from him!) with him even though I know nothing will ever come of our little ‘hotel flirting session’. Let’s just say that it’s nice to know that a man still wants to flirt with me! It’s been a loooooong time!

I can’t even form a post that will make any sense of what I want to say because I can’t remember how my pastor worded things, etc. But the jist of it all was that the number 10 represents completion and we are in 2010.

Even before 2010 got here I started feeling that this was going to be a GREAT year. It wasn’t the normal ‘hype’ feeling I get towards the end of a year because a new year, a new beginning is approaching like I usually get around that time. It was a deep down in the soul, deep in my heart, deep in my spirit feeling that 2010 was going to be a year of great things. A year of things coming to fruition in my life – basically meaning things coming to completion!

And today’s message was confirmation that God is going to be doing some awesome things in my life this year – bringing some things to completion. What those things are I have no idea but I know and believe that He is already working on my behalf putting into motion things that need to be taken care of to bring other things to completion…I honestly can’t explain it. It’s just one of those things that I feel and know. Sometimes God just gives me a peace about things that I can’t attempt to explain and this is one of those things.
