Time To Be Real…

You know me I’m an open book.

When it comes to my weight I’ve been a pretty open book. But it’s so easy to ‘hide’ behind the computer screen only sharing pictures that I crop and don’t show my whole body. Or when I’m losing weight only share the number lost not the weight I’m at.

In an effort to make 2010 the best year ever I knew it was time to get transparent about my weight. Not just an open book about it but transparent. I thought I would just share pictures every week as a way to ‘journal’ my weight loss journey. But then I decided no because pictures are…well boring.

So I’m doing videos!

Yeah talk about stepping out of my comfort zone and laying it all out there on the line! And let me just say the first two videos are horrible! Not just because I’m totally embarrassed by my weight but because I didn’t do my hair or make-up! I have to figure out a way to video tape them myself because I had my kiddo record them for me and…well he just moves around a lot & video that is ‘jumpy’ like that kind of stinks to watch!

I couldn’t decide if I wanted to share my journey here or start another blog (yeah another one! lol) devoted strictly to weight loss, my weekly weigh in’s, etc. I decided to go for a new one! It’s been up for a little while I just wasn’t sure that I was going to share the link…but I’m being real and transparent and that means not hiding the weight thing anymore.

And I honestly believe with my whole heart that none of you will JUDGE me because of my weight but instead only offer encouragement, support and love.

Whew…now it’s just a matter of giving you the link! lol

Okay, Tishia, I’m looking forward to sharing this journey. And congrats with the weight loss so far. Caleb didn’t do a bad job with the video.

Maybe instead of sacking him, just hang in there and he’ll improve with practice. Because the vids are short, I wouldn’t be worrying and you look lovely both with & without makeup!

Lots of support from me. :) I’ve had my own struggles with weight, and I do have a few pounds that I need to shed again, too. Losing weight is tough, but very rewarding when you think of all the benefits. :)

Canadian Bald Guy – You rock :-) Good luck on your journey as well!

Vicki – Thank you for your comment.

    Chrissy – Thanks!

Christine – Thanks. I know he didn’t really do all that bad of a job but I’m just a perfectionist & want everything to be perfect! Try making an 11 year old understand the whole perfection thing…yeah just doesn’t work!

Momma Sunshine – Thank you. I would have never guessed that you’ve struggled with weight before. (that seems so judgmental to say that just because I’ve seen pics of you & you look think & great that you’ve never had weight issues before).

Kelly – I hope that’s in a good way that I amaze you :-) LOL

Looking forward to following that blog too. Just added it to my reader and you know I’m here for support when you need it. I’m struggling myself lately but I keep on going. Haven’t had a chance to check out your videos though but I will. I am also going to start doing videos on my blog and I’m scared to death LOL

Angie – You rock. You can do videos – you’ll be great! It may take a couple before you get used to them but it’s fun! I love doing them…well except for the fact that the ones I’m doing right now are showing the world my weight & that’s not exactly fun! lol
