My Commitment To Me For 2010
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you had a great New Year’s Eve. I hung out with friends to not only bring in the new year but to also celebrate one of their birthdays! It was fun.
I didn’t set any resolutions for this year. I figured what’s the point seems how I never stick to them anyways. But I did set some goals and I also made a commitment to myself. Below are my goals I’ve set and below that is the commitment I made to me.
Goals for 2010:
- Buy a Car
- Lose at least 75 pounds (which averages out to be about 6 pounds a month – very doable!)
- Get my own place
- Get a pedicure (I have NEVER went and had one done…I have this thing with people touching my feet!)
- Public speaking (EEEEK! Did I really write that? If I had an emoticon to place here it would be the green faced throwing up one!)
- Get the Wii Fit and use that at least 3 times a week as well as starting and sticking to the Fat Loss Quickie program! (Note: That is my affiliate link and I will earn a commission if you purchase the program through this link)
- Start my days with quiet time so I can pray and read my Bible before doing anything else
Those are the main goals I set. There were some others but they were pretty minor and insignificant.
My Commitment to ME:
“I say YES to live my life authentically each and every day. I say YES to opening my heart up for love instead of looking at it in a negative way. I say YES to giving God complete control of my life…every.single.area! I say YES to loving myself and speaking positively about myself. I say YES to living life to the fullest.
I say NO to settling. I say NO to selling myself short. I say NO to allowing drama in my life. I say no to just sitting back and letting life speed by. I say NO to worrying about what others think about me. I say NO to participating in any relationship, thought, belief or activity that doesn’t fully 100% honor the beauty, power and sacredness of the woman God wants me to be!”
Here’s to an awesome 2010! I don’t know about you but I’m going to make this the best year EVER!
Have you set any New Year’s Resolutions or goals for yourself?

You have definitely set doable goals. I know you can accomplish them and you know I’m here for you when it comes to weight loss/fitness. I have struggled big time over the last few years and am ready to really kick those struggles to the curb and make things happen. I have some goals written down and will be sharing them on the blog this week.
I love the part in your commitment above about not letting drama in your life. Let me tell you how great life can be without that. It’s a whole new world…we stay far away from family and friend drama and know that is why we are 99.9% positive people. Go for it!
Focus on YOU in 2010, Tishia!

Mary – It was fun spending New Year’s Eve with you too. You have some great goals set. I expect to see you around the Fat Loss Quickie Forum on a regular basis?!
Aurelia – Thank you. In regards to the commitment to me part, I’ve put myself LAST for too long now it’s time to put me FIRST for a change
Angie – I’ll be a frequenter of your Losing It And Loving it site. That’s great that you & Kev keep drama out of your life…it’s too tiring and ridiculous to waste time on drama!
Canadian Bald Guy – Thanks! I know 2010 is going to rock
Here’s to a great year!
Chele – Thanks! I hope you have a great 2010!
