I was never so brave but my son once had his step mom "hi light" his hair while there on the weekend (the NERVE of that woman). He came home with yellow spots in his hair. yes, spots, she had no idea what she was doing and he looked like a leopard. Since I had told him NO hi lights and he went and had it done anyways... I made him wear it like that till they grew out on their own and was cut off. He hasn't done it since. LOL You are brave. I think it's great. I am not much of the "mean mom" type BUT my oldest has guidelines. When we made the decision to let her start wearing makeup I did worry about what other parents would think too st first but quickly came to the conclusion that I wasn't going to care what they thought.
