Pssst…Hey Men, Women Can Like Sports Too!
Ok so I posted awhile ago about how I ended up checking my email from a dating site I had a profile on awhile ago. So I’m still checking the email and it amazes me how weird some men really are.
I’ve had 2 different emails come in today from 2 different men telling me that they think I’m lying about liking sports (baseball, football, NASCAR, etc) to get a mans attention.
Uhm excuse me? Say what?
Just because I’m a woman does NOT mean that I don’t like that stuff. Maybe I’m not a die hard fan that goes to every single sporting event I can but I still do like sports. And just because the only thing I understand about football is touchdown doesn’t mean I don’t like it.
Maybe it’s hard to believe a woman can be into all that stuff but stating that I am using that as a way to get a man’s attention – puhlease! Then again I suppose there are women out there that do do that for the attention. I don’t know. But I have two words for those men that emailed me today “buzz off”.
So ladies – do you watch sports?

Yes, I LOVE me some football. I also like IRL racing – but I don’t really care for Danika Patrick, she annoys me. So I don’t watch it all that much because sometimes when I watch a race it feels like I’m watching the Danika Patrick show.
Hockey is also something I like, but not as much as FOOTBALL!
I can’t stand Nascar, LMBO!

I LOVE SPORTS! Football is my first fav. I have so many good memories watching it every Sunday with my Dad. Then hubby played in college so of course I’ve learned even more. BUT, I’m typically more of the football freak fan in the house and I am just fine with that.
I’m a tomboy and proud of it, so we watch a lot of sports. But I purchased the big screen tv with my own money so we could have a big super bowl party. Most women don’t want to come over for the super bowl because they have to be quiet unless it’s about football. lol I’ll be drinking beers with the guys, don’t expect me to be entertaining you in the kitchen while you complain about it ;0

Heather: I like Danika Patrick. Although I don’t watch her race that often (well ok now that I don’t have cable anymore I don’t watch anything anymore). Oh yeah I forgot about hockey. I’m a Detroit Red Wings fan. I would love to go to a hockey game in person – I bet it’s so much more fun than watching on TV!
Val: I’m a total tomboy too. I’m all about pulling my hair back & throwing a baseball cap on. No make-up, etc. I’ve been a tomboy for a long time now and I don’t forsee it changing anytime soon. LOL Although I do like to be girly girl once in awhile too. I’m dying for a big screen TV!

Hi Tishia. I found you from Alaina’s site. I just read through all of your “Men & Dating” posts and feel like I can sooooo relate. Especially this post: http://adventuresofasinglewahm.com/2009/another-confession-will-i-ever-learn/
I wrote a post tonight which so echos your thoughts in that post especially, “I know I deserve more than what he is willing to give me.” On some level I know that too. But then WHY? Is it the curse of the abused? And most importantly, have you figured it out yet?
I am looking forward to reading your other posts.

Wow…how I would LOVE to have a woman in my life who shares my passion for the NFL. Unfortunately, I don’t think my Sunshine is gonna do that any time soon.
Yeah…from a guy’s point of view? I’d say a woman who is big-time into sports is a big-time turn on.

Ewwww. I detest sports. Then I met a hunter. Did you know shooting and archery is considered a sport? I’m into this sport and I don’t have to pretend. I’m shooting my own bow now and firing guns. I can hit the target, too!
Now that’s some fun stuff!

Chele – I did know shooting and archery was a sport just because several years ago I got into a heated discussion with the man I was dating about it. I argued and fought that it wasn’t but he ended up showing me something that verified that he was right. LOL You go girl…firing guns and me, well let’s just say that wouldn’t be a good combination. I’m a KLUTZ!
