Not A Day Goes By
It’s been a little over one week now since I first woke up with these words in my head and my heart. I remember where I was and what time it was – I was up North at my mom and step dads and it was 3:03 am. I didn’t think much of it then but when I awoke again this weekend and haven’t been able to get the words out of my head I paid attention. I know why the words are there but it’s weird because I’ve never wrote anything like this before – words don’t come to me like this.

that I don’t think about you,
cry out for you,
reach out for you…
Not a day goes by
that I don’t wait to hear from you,
for some sort of sign that things are ok,
that you are ok…
Not a day goes by
that my heart doesn’t break all over again wondering what if…
Not a day goes by
that I don’t think about how much love I feel even after all this time…
Not a day goes by
that I don’t wonder how I’ll ever let you go.
