I signed up for the Soldier’s Angels adopt a soldier program the other day and just got the email last night that I was approved. They sent me the name of my soldier today so I sent out a little card introducing myself, just saying hi and thanks for what he is doing. The requirement is 1 to 2 cards/letters a week and then 2 care packages a month. I’m really looking forward to it!

I’ve also contacted a lady here locally that runs a program called My Heart Supports The Troops. I emailed her and let her know that I was interested in helping with her program. Herself and other volunteers have meetins on a farily regular basis to discuss things to do for care packages, etc. They do themed packages and all sorts of different cool things! They do fundraisers to raise money to help with the care packages and they have some awesome fundraisers coming up that I’d love to help with! I hope to hear back from her soon and find out how I can get involved.
