Why No Comments?
Yesterday I read a blog post (and of course for the life of me I can’t remember where it was at or how I found my way there…actually I do remember how I found my way there, it was because my friend Heather made a tweet about it so I had to head over there & read it) and it was about comments and how as bloggers we like receiving comments, it’s kind of like our ‘payday’. I have to agree with the author of that blog post. I love comments.
So my question is…why (after looking at my site stats) is it that I average anywhere from 150-200 visitors a day but sometimes don’t even end up with 1 comment?
That makes me sad
I realize that a lot of times I talk about random nonsense and there really isn’t anything to comment about but that sure is a lot of visitors a day only to see that no one has nothing to say. I find that very interesting!
Something that made me laugh while looking at my stats – the #1 keyword phrase that my blog was found by was when people were searching for…I’ve realized that love is. Yeah that makes me laugh. I don’t even remember ever using that phrase in any of my blog posts but somewhere I did and several people found my blog searching that phrase…now that’s funny
Ok back to topic, come on people put a smile on my face by leaving me some comment love. Please. I’ll beg if I have to

It was Beth at I should be folding laundry. And guilty as charged. I read your blog RELIGIOUSLY but sometimes I don’t comment…
And after that post yesterday, I’m working on getting better at it.
I know what you mean though about seeing the stats and no comments… just makes me feel like I’m talking to myself. Not that there’s anything wrong with that….

Ya, I know what you mean too! I’m guilty of reading but not commenting. Mostly because I don’t think my comment is that important. But, I promise to work on it!
I like comments too, and you are my most faithful commenter
Thank you!

I am bad in that I read from the rss page – so when I click on your blog in my reader, however many posts come up on one page, but it’s not your blog page. Does that make sense? Anyway, I have been trying to be better about clicking through to the blog and commenting – but there are still times when I don’t. I’ll try to be better about that!

well I’m a bad blog reader since I just recently started commenting… my excuse is that we talk so much throughout the day I give my comments on a personal level! : )
Does that excuse me ? (oh I also introduce you to your love interest… does that help? LOL)

I’m getting better at commenting but sometimes I just don’t have anything to say. Kev finds that hard to believe LOL. I’ll try harder though.

I know several people who read my blog and don’t feel like leaving me one tiny comment that takes like 2 seconds to leave. LOL Snobs!
Can you imagine how many blog readers some of those popular blogs have … the ones where a post has 30 plus comments…they have to have thousands!
