Weird Weather!

The weather has been so crazy over the past few days. I go from driving 80 miles an hour on Christmas Eve on the expressway for about an hour-n-half to just about a standstill of one lane of traffic crawling along at 30-35 miles an hour through snow, slush and ice for the last couple hours of my trip up North where I was met with LOTS of snow.  Then there were the white out conditions that night as I traveled back from a family get together with my dad’s side of the family.

The trip back down was sort of like de ja vue of the trip up!  For the first hour or two of the trip I was crawling along (although a bit faster than on the way up because the roads were a little better) at about 45 miles an hour on snowy, slushy junk and then the last leg of the trip I was driving 70-75 miles an hour on clear roads.

Now I’ve went from barely being able to get in my driveway due to all the snow (yesterday when I got home) to having a big ole lake because of all the rain and warm weather that’s melted all the snow.  It’s so bizarre!  I even ran to Wal-Mart yesterday to buy a shovel so I could shovel the driveway but at the moment I won’t be doing any shoveling.  Even my backyard has went from having knee high (maybe a little less than knee high) snow to nothing in most areas! I was actually outside today picking up some trash out of my yard!  It was weird walking on grass instead of snow.

What’s the weather like where you are?  Do you think it’s Global Warming?

Wow I’m sorry you had to drive in all of that. It sounds yucky. What strange weather being on snow then grass I hope the snow stays away for a while.

Here we are in 30+ inches of snow, it warmed up some today and started melting meaning slush and then ice probably tonight. We had snow for 11 days straight I believe is what they said. I lost track after 3 lol

    Stay warm and safe sweetie.

Our snow is almost melted here, everything is all wet. Yesterday, Brandon and I were commenting on how big the snow banks were; today we were talking about how much snow melted in just one day. But, according to my live in weather man :) it’s supposed to start snowing again tomorrow. So, as for global warming…nah! I think we’ve gotten more snow this year and a lot earlier than in years past. It’s all cyclical!

Sorry to hear about your driving woes! I wish we could have gotten together while you were here. Hopefully next time!!! Love ya!

Something’s going on, because the weather here has been nuts! We had nearly two feet of snow on the ground until yesterday, which was 3x what we normally have this time of year. Then yesterday, I got woke up by a thunderstorm, and now all the snow has melted!
