We Got Guitar Hero III
Ok so it was Caleb that got guitar hero. But I’m just as excited as he is! LOL Yes I’m just a big kid, what can I say? And the story behind how Caleb got guitar hero is even cooler! If you remember reading the blog post Conversation Between Two Nine Year Olds – Funny!!! you probably remember that Caleb was talking about wanting Guitar Hero (and the poor kid has been begging for it for a really long time! Ever since way before Christmas) in the conversation with his friend. He told his friend he was going to ask Seth for it for his birthday. His birthday is quite a ways away yet – September.
Anyways…someone that I interact with online messaged me the other day and asked if it would be ok to send Guitar Hero to Caleb. I of course told the person that they didn’t have to do that but the person replied back that they wanted to bless Caleb.
So anyways the UPS dude showed up yesterday with the package and I have to say that it was perfect timing, literally! Yesterday was a really rough, sad, emotional day so I needed something to ‘lighten’ the mood and bring a smile to my face. Caleb was practically jumping out of his skin to open that package but I was a mean mom and made him finish homework and if that wasn’t bad enough I made him wait about 10 minutes longer after homework was done so we could run uptown and buy a disposable camera (yes a disposable one!) seems how I no longer have a digital camera. I knew I had to have something to get pictures of him with.
To Caleb’s ’secret’ gift giver – thank you so much! He’s already having a blast with it and I have to add I’ve found a new addiction…even though I stink at it!
Here are a couple pics (Caleb even snapped one of me – I should of known he would! He likes to get pics of me at the worst times!).
He’s excited about the package

He just saw what it was

He’s playing

Mom’s Playing (don’t pay attention to the tongue sticking out – it’s something I do when I’m concentrating I guess)

Check it out – he’s got his tongue sticking out too!

I can see this bringing many hours of fun to our household. And some friendly competition. Although there’s no competition – I suck and Caleb’s like a natural. How is it possible that after playing it for only a couple minutes the kid already has the hang of it?

How fun! I play Guitar Hero with my friend’s daughter and we have a blast. She is 12 and hardly ever messes up. It’s crazy, I’m the one that misses the notes but she does tell me I’m getting better LOL
What a nice gift and it’s especially fun that you can have a blast together playing it.
