The First Snow Day Of The Year
I don’t know whether that’s a good thing or bad thing. Well it’s a good thing because it’s a mess out there and I feel better knowing my son won’t be on the school bus on these roads (even though he’s only on the bus for about 15 minutes and doesn’t ride it super far).
But it also means the kids (Caleb and my BFF’s daughter K) will be here with me all day. I don’t mind it’s just that I’ve been up all night so (1) I’m exhausted and (2) I have tons of VA work to do and (3) I have errands that have to be ran today – no if’s and’s or but’s about it. But thankfully they are old enough to entertain themselves and they’ll just have to come with me on the errand running.
We went from no snow on the ground yesterday to This: (well there was a tiny bit in the backyard by the side of the shed)

It still isn’t really all that much snow but to go from nothing to this is kind of depressing. Too bad snow has to bring cold weather and nasty roads because it really is kind of pretty. LOL
And this snow storm we were hit with closed more than 80 schools around us! That seems crazy! But it was quite the doozy of a storm we got hit with. I guess you could say that Old Man Winter has made his presence and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon!

It snowed here overnight too and it’s still going. Blech! I just pray that it doesn’t snow next week when we have to fly out. It can snow all it wants while we’re gone and even on the day we’re supposed to return LOL
Hope you accomplished what you had to get done today. Bet the kids are enjoying the time off.
