I enjoyed our weekend at Shanty Creek. We had three adjoining rooms and I wish I would of checked in sooner than I did because I totally would of taken the 2nd room, the one that had the kitchenette and the jacuzzi tub and the fireplace. The room we were in was nice but it was kind of just like any other room we’d been in before. But I’m totally NOT complaining!

My sister M stayed in one room, Caleb & I in one and then my new step sister L, her husband J and their son S stayed in the middle room. Sat night my new step brother’s T & R also hung out up there. It was nice hanging out with them all getting to know them better.

I didn’t get to ‘relax’ as much as I had planned but that’s entirely ok too. Caleb and I swam in the outdoor pool for a couple hours Saturday afternoon after my dad’s wedding. It was nice but man it wore me out! I don’t know if it was from a couple straight hours of swimming or from the heat (it was the outdoor pool we were at) or a combo of both – probably a combo of both.

I miss the bed from the room! Oh my goodness I can’t even begin to explain how ‘relaxing’ it was just crawling under the covers. Seriously that bed was to die for! Maybe if I had a bed like that at home I’d start sleeping!
