Isn’t Working Out Supposed to Get Easier????
Holy jumping Toledo! I thought for sure that after almost 2 months of working out that it would get easier. Of course my workout over the last couple days has really intensified so I’m not used to this vigorous of a workout.
Yesterday I started a 2 mile walk with running involved and also going up and down 4 sets of stairs! It may not sound all that difficult to some, but for me as I already stated above this is way more vigorous than what I’m used to!
Plus on top of the new workout I also do crunches, push-ups (cheater ones…I have to do the girly ones) and flutter kicks on a regular basis (at least every other day if not every day) and use my Gazelle too.
Yesterday’s workout really took a toll on me! I felt exhausted and dehydrated. Maybe dehydrated isn’t a good word because I drink so much water each and every day that I honestly don’t think there is any possible way I can get dehydrated. But I just felt like I couldn’t quench my thirst. Today I’m feeling better, still exhausted but not so thirsty.
Today’s workout was hard because I was already sore from yesterday but I knew I had to force myself to do it or I would just make up an excuse to not do it. I feel good other than my legs literally feel like jell-o (I don’t know if I can manage much more walking on them today…I take a step and feel like they are just gong to give out on me! LOL) and my butt is extremely sore (I’m assuming that’s from all those dang steps I’m running up and down!).
I have one question:
Isn’t working out supposed to get EASIER?????

Hi Tishia, if it was easier, it wouldn’t work. It’s when we challenge ourselves that we see results beyond maintenance, so keep up the good work!
I find myself surprised at my sore muscles too but I’m starting to feel some muscle (who hooo!)
But there is a point that it does get easier to do things that we used to find hard, and start to enjoy more activities for exactly that reason. I even find walking easier now than it was when I hadn’t been out for awhile, so I like it even better. And I especially find that every spring after a few weeks of biking.
