Iowa Caucuses
I am certainly not a political person what so ever. I think of politics and it makes my skin crawl or I want to turn and run the other way when I hear people talking anything political. I also have a confession to make – I’ve never in my whole life voted. Ever.
That’s a pretty sad reality now that I think about it. I’ve always had the mindset that I’m just one person so what difference does my vote make? This year I decided I would start using my ability to vote and just do it. Well that in turn meant that I had to start paying attention, at least a little bit, to politics and who is running for president.
I also have to say that this political stuff is way above my head or maybe it’s not but because I don’t like politics I make it more difficult than it really is. Obviously I never paid attention back in school because at the moment I don’t even know what Republican and Democrat means (I’ll be Googling it later on). And as for the Iowa Caucuses - I don’t even know what the heck Caucus means (good thing I have Google at my fingertips…LOL).
The only reason I even knew anything about the Iowa Caucuses is because it’s been all over the TV and radio this morning. But as far as who is ahead (Sen. Barack Obama on the Democrat side & former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee on Republican side) and behind and dropping out, blah blah blah – it’s all foreign to me.
I think this whole voting thing is going to give me a headache! Considering I already have one and the actual voting process is still several months away (sigh).
So how about you – are you following the candidates? Who will you vote for? Do you follow Politics on a regular basis? Are you Republican, Democrat or rather not say?

I’ve always followed politics and am glad you decided to start. I’ve honestly never understood why people don’t vote!
I LOVE Barack Obama and should he be the nominee, I’ll vote for him. I really hope he is too.
It’s not really a secret that I’m a liberal. I don’t vote party lines though I consider myself a Democrat. I vote for the person who I agree with the most even if they are not Dems.

I’ll follow it more closely when both parties pick a candidate. I think it’s all pretty crazy right now…I mean, come on! Why are we all amped up so soon?
It’s hard for me to find a candidate I want to vote for as I’m not easily boxed into republican/democrat. I’m somewhere in the middle.
I’m currently not excited about ANY of the candidates
