I’m So Excited and I Just Can’t Hide It…
I’m about to lose control and I think I like it.
Yeah if that’s not a dork moment then I don’t know what is
But it felt good to have a dork moment. I’ve been missing my old silly, dorky self
Oh and in case you are wondering the i’m so excited and I just can’t hide it, I’m about to lose control and I think I like it is an old song from way back when by the Pointer Sisters. Why it popped into my had I have no idea because the theme of the song certainly has NOTHING to do with why I’m excited. LOL
I’m excited because I’m finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Yesterday’s counseling appointment left me with a new outlook/perspective on things. I’m only slightly abnormal, crazy and insane
I’m certainly not excited about all the issues I have to deal with but I’m looking forward to dealing with it once and for all. There’s been so much negative stuff in my life that I’ve held onto and it’s certainly had an impact on me more than I’ve been willing to admit. But it’s all going to change.
Well now that I got off on a tangent I suppose I’ll go back to the reason of this post and what I’m so excited about. And don’t laugh when I tell you
Everyone knows that I can’t cook (even Seth…I was upfront with him about that one! LOL) or when I attempt to cook it isn’t a pretty picture. My counselor asked me to name one miscellaneous thing I wanted to set as a goal that I could work on. I said cooking…I really want to learn how to cook.
So guess what? I’m going to be getting cooking lessons! There is a program here in our town that I didn’t even know about called the family nutrition program. Not only will I be meeting with a lady once a week to learn about healthy cooking, she’ll be giving me cooking lessons as we go along! I’m so geeked! I can’t wait. Finally this chic is gonna learn her way around the kitchen. At 33 I’m going to learn what I should of learned way back when but now is better than never. I’m not exactly sure when it will start I’m waiting for paperwork to come in the mail that has to be filled out & returned first.
I’ll keep you posted and definitely share my progress as I embark on this journey.

Ok, now that is totally exciting to me because I would jump on that opportunity. As you know, hubby cooks pretty much everything around here. There are very few things I can cook so I’m sure he would love me to learn but no recipes allowed (per him) ROFL
Congrats Tishia! I might just have to take a road trip and you can teach me how to cook or we can burn down the kitchen together hee hee.

WOOT WOOT… I love to cook. It’s weird too because my mom does not like to cook, so my dad likes to come over to my house for dinners hehe.
