A Day with Two WAHM’s
If you don’t know what WAHM is it’s work at home mom.
As most of you know, Kelly McCausey and I have been friends for quite awhile and at one point in time my son and I even lived with her and her son. Kelly moved awhile back to Lansing so we hadn’t seen each other in a long time. Today she came over to see my new house now that I’m moved and we are only about 1 1/2 hours apart.
After showing her my house we hung out for a bit before heading out for the day. Our first destination was Staples (oh man I love an office supply store and could get lost in there for hours! Don’t let me near the pens because I’ll never leave until I find just the perfect one(s). Seriously!). I thought she needed to pick something up. Little did I know she was buying me a house warming gift. When I showed her my home office I told her about the plastic outside chair I was using and how my ‘real’ chair got broke in the U-Haul. We stopped at chairs and I started looking around. You know just to check them out cause it’s not like I can afford one at this moment. Kelly steered me over to this really awesome black one and had me try it out. It was like heaven. I couldn’t believe how good it felt just sitting in it for the few minutes I did. The next thing I know she was buying it for me as a housewarming gift! Thanks Kelly
The next destination was Panera bread where we Twittered with everyone, laughed, talked business, talked personal and all of Panera bread (ok so I wasn’t that loud) got to hear me totally irritated while talking to a brick wall having a conversation with Caleb’s dad!
Our final destination was a Mexican place for lunch. I’d try to write it for you but I can’t spell it. Heck I can’t even pronounce it properly!
And then it was back to my house so Kelly could get on the road. Before she left we laughed because she was like I thought to myself don’t drive away with the chair in the back of the car. Well we didn’t forget the chair but guess what? I did forget that I had B’s laptop in the backseat of her car! LOL That just means I’ll be turning around and taking a drive out to Kelly’s place now.
Ok so back to the chair. It wouldn’t be blogging material if I didn’t share about my attempt at putting it together right? And you can laugh at me because I had a good laugh. And I figured while snapping pics I might as well show you my old broken office chair and the very uncomfortable plastic chair I have been using as well. I know you were all just dying to see the pics
The boring ole plastic thing called a chair (hey do you see the pink theme I have going on? Pink house phone, pink cell phone and pink stapler!)

The old broken office chair (I don’t know if you can see or not but it leans all the way forward and tilts to the right):

Oops something isn’t right:

That’s better – the correct put together chair:

Now it’s time to head back out again and pick the kids (Caleb and K) up from school. Then it’s back home so that Caleb I can mow the jungle. And don’t laugh when I say this but…this is the first time I’ve ever mowed a lawn. That could be interesting!

What an awesome housewarming gift!
Now…..how can it be that you have never in your life mowed a lawn? LOL I’m afraid there will be a post tomorrow that you now only have two toes on your left foot.
